New 3 foot rule for strip clubs in Michigan...
 

Unless this is over-ruled by our Secretary of State by March 1st, this ruling by the liquor comission in Michigan will make lap dances and liquor a thing of the past...


Text of Proposed Liquor Control Commission Regulations

R 436.1407 TEMPORARY ENTERTAINMENT, DANCE, OR DANCE ENTERTAINMENT PERMITS; APPROVAL.

Rule 7. (1) The commission may issue up to 12 daily temporary dance, entertainment, or dance entertainment permits to a licensee each calendar year upon written request of the licensee and approval of the chief law enforcement officer who has jurisdiction.

(2) THE COMMISSION MAY ISSUE UP TO 12 DAILY TEMPORARY TOPLESS ACTIVITY PERMITS TO A LICENSEE EACH CALENDAR YEAR UPON WRITTEN REQUEST OF THE LICENSEE, APPROVAL OF THE CHIEF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WHO HAS JURISDICTION, AND THE APPROVAL OF THE LOCAL LEGISLATIVE BODY OF THE JURISDICTION WITHIN WHICH THE PREMISES ARE LOCATED.

R 436.1410 Entertainers or employees engaged in topless activity.

RULE 10. AN ON-PREMISES LICENSEE SHALL NOT ALLOW TOPLESS ACTIVITY, AS DEFINED IN SECTION 916(11)(B) OF 1998 P.A. 58, MCL 436.1916(11)(B), ON THE LICENSED PREMISES UNLESS ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE MET:

(A) THE LICENSEE HAS A VALID PERMIT ISSUED BY THE COMMISSION WHICH ALLOWS TOPLESS ACTIVITY.

(B) THE PERSON PERFORMING ANY TOPLESS ACTIVITY IS ON A STAGE OR PLATFORM NOT LESS THAN 18 INCHES ABOVE THE IMMEDIATE FLOOR LEVEL AND IS REMOVED NOT LESS THAN 3 FEET FROM THE NEAREST PATRON AT ALL TIMES DURING A PERFORMANCE.

(C) A PERSON PERFORMING ANY TOPLESS ACTIVITY IS NOT PERMITTED TO MAKE PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH A PATRON AND A PATRON IS NOT PERMITTED TO MAKE PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH THE PERSON PERFORMING ANY TOPLESS ACTIVITY DURING THE TOPLESS ACTIVITY.

The definition of "topless activity" referred to is as follows:

436.1916 Entertainment, dance, or topless activity permits; issuance; prohibited activity; exceptions; permits issued under administrative rule; fees; definitions.

(11) As used in this section:

(b) ?Topless activity? means activity that includes, but is not limited to, entertainment or work-related activity performed by any of the following persons on the licensed premises in which the female breast area, including the nipple, or more than 1/2 of the area of the breast, is directly exposed or exposed by means of see-through clothing or a body stocking:

(i) A licensee.

(ii) An employee, agent, or contractor of the licensee.

(iii) A person acting under the control of or with the permission of the licensee."

Only one thing will fix these rule makers and that is EXPOSING them, If the guys running those joints in MI know what they are doing they should be able to expose them for what they really are, does not take much.

Michigan has smoe of the best clubs in the country. The clubs we visited in Vegas pale in comparison. Even Saphhires and Jaguars dont compare to places like the Flight Club, Landng Strip and a few others in in the Metro Detroit area. Great, great "mileage" at all these clubs. The girls for the most part are BEAUTIFUL.

There are a few strip bars with huge lap dance areas in back, theyre not hidden at all.

Lap dances are not legal in Windsor, Ontario... the town bordering Detroit across the river. Everywhere else I have been is plenty friendly.
