ha im sure its blown out of proportion...however when i worked at a slaughter house...most people there were ex cons...there was a jail right beside it...to get out of jail you needed a job there it seemed..lol

Well working at a place like that has to fuck with your mind on some level, right? So why not give the job to someone who is more likely to appreciate it? Than say, 'ruining' a productive member of society?

Wonder why American meat processing plants have to resort to illegal labor? No one else will do that shit for the pennies it pays. Supermarket meat sucks because restaurants and butchers get first pick - because they pay (and charge) the big bucks. Your neighbourhood "Supermarket" or WalMart buys the shittiest, left-over crap that no-one else will touch.
