once the hype died, that was the next logical step to get attention

some good tunes. always liked the rawness of their recordings.

well that sucks. just six months ago jack was talking about a new album and tour for the stripes.

Dam another band I was going to once they came around again.

meg apparently has serious mental issues that make performing very difficult.

Bands are only good for 3 - 5 years anyway. Than they just keep repeating the same ideas

i think alot of people fail to grasp what the white stripes were trying to do.

I'm not a huge fan but whenever I heard them I always wanted to "rock out." Was good music that got you hyped up, not a lot of music can do that these days.

Bummer... Jack White is a genius the way he can take something simple like the blues and still sound original. I like the Raconteurs more, though. This is excellent:

i have only been listening to mash ups and old soul lately, which i guess you could argue is pop :)

they sucked anyway. who cares.

I wasn't a huge White Stripes fan yet I'm a Jack White fan, if that makes sense. The guy's definitely talented. He does Conan O'Brien's show a lot (and even recorded a legit album with Conan) and his appearances always impress me.

What were they trying to do ??
