Cyclone Yasi Anyone Following it?
 

Only a few hours from hitting the coast at the moment, will be the biggest (category 5 300KMH plus winds) to hit Australia.

The fucker is 500KMS wide with an Eye over 100KMS wide, I'm out of the firing line living about 8hrs from where it will hit but I know many are not.

I have friends in Cairns - I haven't spoken to them as I am sure they have better things than gossip with me at the moment.

Just hope they have got out of town....

I did speak to a friend who was staying in her camper-van in Townsville and they are ok and heading south as fast as they can.

Ya, it seems the Cyclone is now heading more southerly so Cairns might not get it as hard as first though.

Been keeping an eye on it all day - I hope it doesn't hit as hard as it sounds like it is going to. Hope the FNQ people are all safe and well the next 24 hours.

Ya its not good at all, seems 60K plus homes without power at the moment. There talking about 18M waves at Townsville, though they say it's not accurate.
