How many of you part time webmasters would be better off working at a fast food drive through versus the amount of time spent against the money earned doing so.... :-( Its not easy out there these days....

That depends. Are we talking McDonald's manager salary or just counter grunt? because I have a friend who is a manager at McD's pulling 80k a year.

Taking that into consideration I think the answer here if everyone were honest would be alot higher than you think.

in North America for sure many here would make more from their time by working at McDonalds, in some poorer countries though the wages are much lower

ppl seem to laugh at anyone in a service industry, especially americans, but what is really funny guys are banking 60k-80k a year to boss your kid around, without a college education, while your busting your ass to send your kid to college.

A fast food store manager can earn between 30-35k for a small location, up to 60-90k for really high volume location. Those salaries are peanuts because a busy McD can gross 15-20k per day. I know because i have done the cash drops. Even at subway it only cost them about $1.25 to make a footlong sub with all the toppings, a 6 inch about .88 cents.

Id say about 95% of webmasters dont earn 30k a yr online. :2 cents:

I agree 1000% that there is nothing wrong with working at mcd's. I was just trying to make a comparison earnings wise with everyone so they could relate possibly. McD's has probably been amazing to alot of individuals.

Mcdonalds gave me my first job when i was 14 :)

the Regional managers make good money as well.
The corporation pays their staff well also most likely

Managers make between $9-$13/hour. The information is readily available online.

(That's probably still a lot more than some here make)

if you work at mcdonalds and you are over 18 or under 80 you suck at life. i have no idea about manager wages but no matter the pay, i couldn't stand the smell, the grease or the half retarded (sometimes full retarded) kids who work there.

Fast food places around here provide a stable job for a lot of immigrants. Which i think is a good thing. Even if they are not immigrants if you show up to work everyday, earn a paycheck and do not live off the system you get my props.

Depends on your game plan really. If someone comes here and does one-off jobs or one-off sales then that's quite different to if someone is using their time to build up a new website/business. 10 years down the line that website/business (if you stuck with it) could be making a lot more than a McJob

That's what the regular managers make. The store manager makes a lot more.
