Here are a few pics from my holiday in lapland of the ice hotel unfortunately the quality of the pics is not great and don't really do it justice. The entire place is made from Ice and snow including the Glasses chairs and beds.

They were saying that around 2000 guests stay there a year 50k visit each year and around 150 people get married there each year.. They have to rebuild the whole place every year and have the fire brigade inspect it each time. this year they tried to make them have sprinklers in it lol

Thanks Roald it is an amazing place we got to see the northern lights too which were amazing but as you can see by the pics my photography skills are not great so i could not catch them on camera lol

Would you go again?

I got friends who've been there a few times. They always stay at an amazing little cottage type of place, really fairytale like. Their pics and stories make me want to go.

I will definitely be going back next year.

The skiing is great if you have children to as the slopes are nice and smooth and great for beginners neither of my children could ski before we went but the ski school was great for them..

Yeah they have a Sauna in the shower room pretty cool but only tiny..

Hey Mike I didn't stay there dude was not brave enough with 2 kids in -5 inside and -17 outside lol i just visited and that was enough for me dude :thumbsup

It looks cool but I'm soooooooo sick of Winter by this point that nothing cold interests me anymore. I can't wait for this snow and ice to go away and be replaced by sunshine and heat and girls in short skirts.

i had no idea there was a whole hotel for this. i did minus-5 ice bar in vegas last month, thought that was crazy enough. super cool but after 20 mins i couldn't take it, i can't imagine sleeping overnight
