Tony Robbins..? worth it?
 

I am in my first week of listening to the cd's and I am seeing it starting to take shape!! Anyone else ever listen and complete the whole course and gain anything from his stradegy? Please LMK :winkwink:

I'm about to start with them again, now that I have found out that he has bought the place next door and he'll be spending some time there every once in a while.

I have his books too and they are very good if you are serious about making a consious effort.

On his tape Investing Tricks in 1999 he urges All listeners to Invest in his new Company Dream Life, inc. AKA Dreamlife.com

The company since then went under and never made a penny!

The only money he made is selling books,

All those people in the infomercial, Clinton etc. they make it look like because of him Clinton became president etc.

all the famous people in the infomercial where successful way before the name tony robbins exisited.

All his business concepts and shit never made anyone a penny and lost investors tens of millions of dollars.

Just selling tapes on how to be successful he makes money of.

Anyone selling anything on TV on how to lose weight or how to make money etc. will make money.

Another point he has one tape on relationships and how he makes sure hius wife is always happy blah blah guess what hes now going thru a NASTY divorce


This shit is all fuked up..... I went to one of his shows and you are a bit confused with the facts of tony robins,.... I know for a fact that he has his own island in the fiji's and is worth Massive amounts of money..... Anyone have and facts on this? Either way he is motivating me so who gives a fuk of what he is actually worth finacially!!

You shmuck, in an old infomercial the lady said I met Tony on his own island in fiji, the fact is he was just renting a place there to shoot the infomercial, in 2000 the FTC fined the corporation and ordered them to remove that from the infomercial, go to FTC.gov do some homework

But if he motivates you , you are right you should not care if hes broke or not.

The fact is I would rather spend $1000 on seminars related to procrastinating then motivation, there is a big difference, everyone here is motivated

I bought his tapes, and listened to the first 4 days, and then gave up.

I am sure they are great for some people if they have never done anything like that before, but I just found his voice really annoying - far too speedy.

He changed my life..

It's the message that's important, not who the messenger is.

Who care that he started by stealing other peoples stuff or that he lost people money?

I'm not investing in his business but in the tools that will help me break free and become a more successfull individual.

All these "get rich" advisors seem similar and they definitely follow a pattern. As long as you realize that there's a lot of hucksterism, and sometimes, straight up bullshit involved, it does not really hurt to pick their advise that makes sense...and actually works...for your particular situation.

Personally, I like Robert Kiyosaki. Just finished "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and am rereading it again. Although the fact that he deals in microcap stocks [aka "pinksheet" stocks] is a red flag for a shady dealer, I do find some value in SOME of his advice and its definitely opened my mind a bit in how I approach my business.

I guess Tony Robbins is good a motivating file sharers, because I see a *shitload* of his stuff on Kazaa.

Listening to "Taking Control - The First Step" now. Interesting.

Motivation is the bottom line you should grab from those tapes. How Tony made his fortunes is irrelevant, how he has branded his products/services is irrelevant. If he is able to motivate you, then use that to your advantage and learn from it.
