I'm from a small town originally...but I always read that through the ages a father would buy his son his first piece of pussy. Usually at a much younger age throughout past history.

Of course with our present day insanity about sex...father's are scared to death to do something like that (you know, show their sons the most fun and natural thing on Earth) because they would be arrested by the almighty govt and this nation full of prudish people.

Long gone are the traditions of a father having the first beer with his teen son and buying him a hooker to make a man out of him. That's why we don't even treat 18, 19, and 20 year olds like adults. They aren't even allowed to have a drink.
And all this coddling and acting stupid has reduced people into staying "childen" well into their late 20's.

I moved out of my parent's house when I was 17 and was playing in my band with a fake id (18 was the drinking age in 1978 when I was 17) and living in an apartment with my 24 year old girlfriend.

In other words: I grew up.

These days? First off I'd never have gotten into a bar with my fake id because now you have to be 21 years old to go to a fucking nightclub and have a good time. And secondly, my girlfriend would be arrested and become a "sex offender" for the rest of her life and forced to register as such everywhere she lived.

So instead of becoming a man and beginning my life...I would have probably done what kids do these days....Sat around at my parents house fucking off for 10 years or so. Losing crucial time in the game of life.

I'm a different generation, but I grew up with mostly guy friends & I only know one instance where that happened. From the outside looking in it always struck me as an odd dynamic, a father picking out a peice of ass for his son.

I had a doctored ID too so I could run shifts when I was still technically a minor, so I see where you're coming from. I can see giving your kid their first drink, etc. Those things seem safer in a controlled environment- and maybe that's the thinking also behind buying your son a 'tute- but it seems that by doing so you're also kind of spoon feeding them / not teaching them hard knocks. You're kind of bypassing an important piece of the puzzle, the social interaction leading up to getting some.

You're not really teaching them how to get laid, so I just don't see how it falls in line with developing life skills. It just seems you're better off letting things develop naturally in that department. Seems like by skipping that step you're hurting their game, not helping it.

that's a throwback to earlier times, before the sexual revolution/liberation of the 60's when pre-marital sex was still taboo and women's lib hadn't happened yet. Double standard, teenaged girls weren't supposed to have sex and for a teenage boy losing his virginity was coming of age. So it was normal and traditional for teenage boys to get laid their first time by a prostitute. Parents didnt want him banging his girlfriend.

never heard of it in my time, by the 70's and 80's, most teenage couples were fucking, no need for a hooker.

Internet has taken away a lot of the stigma of prostitution, i see it referred to now as a 'hobby', wouldn't surprise me if lots of teenage guys these days get hookers off craigslist and backpage ads.
