Is it just me, or does a major affiliate program using robots.txt files to block the affiliates links from being indexed by the SE's seem a little shady?

I mean, looking at the meta data it looks like you have a shot at being indexed, but then when you pull up the robots file it seems you've only got a slim chance of the link alone getting indexed.

Or am I just being a little bitch?
