Suicide bomber kills 31 at Russia's biggest airport
 

At least 31 persons have been killed and over hundred others are reported to be injured in the blast that rocked Moscow's Domodedovo airport on Monday.

Domodedovo airport is the busiest of Moscow's three commercial airports.

Russian news agencies cited unspecified sources as saying that a suicide bomber carried out at the blast inside the airport's international arrivals hall and that there were fatalities, NDTV reports. (ANI)

In the United States, such public areas at airports are protected by a hodgepodge of security agencies. In Moscow, visitors are supposed to pass through a metal detector, but one survivor of Monday's attack said he saw no one being required to do so.

Medvedev blames airport managers for 'clear security breaches' and holds them responsible for the bombing.

When I hear these news reports I sometime wonder how they get the energy to talk like that for several minutes.

Vitaly Razdobudko is suspected of being one of the bloody attack's main organisers. He's an ethnic Russian and the Russian law enforcement officials suspect that he is a member of radical Islamist group in North Caucasus.

Actually that's not true. Domodedovo has very modern body scanners (much batter than those I saw in the USA) There is a different problem. The bomb has blasted BEFORE the security zone.
