For new wordpress blogs do you...
Block search engines or do you let them crawl you while you update, code, and make post? Im talking about real blogs.
|
i am letting se crawl them slowly, but if i need some fast crawling i use social bookmarking sites gets the job done
|
I like to get the site structure all set up first before I allow the se bots in, and some good content, so sometimes I will work on a site for a few days before I will unset the block :2 cents:
|
Let them crawl. Also, first thing you do is update services.
I launched a blog a few weeks ago, and got three sign ups the first week - before I had even done a single link trade. |
I have them blocked for 5 minutes, while I set up permalinks, make sure comments are blocked, change the 'uncategorized' category and links category, change the about page, get rid of the 'welcome' first post, write a quick first post. And then I turn them on. :)

I never block search engines. When i am going to create a new blog, i always setup it and write at least a one post for search engines. And later i can develop it normally with right content and using right sponsors:)
