I remember anticipating Duke Forever for a few years, and then Far Cry came out(around 2005? maybe). I was thinking, there's no way the Duke engine could be better than this -- if they ever do release it. The Crytek guys were so under the radar, and they just put something great out. 3D realms could learn a lesson from guys like that.

Even the character Duke Nukem is a fucking cliche and kind of a joke. It doesn't even work as a parody of itself. I'll still play it though, for nostalgia sake, and maybe I'll see some titties.
