yeah, no shit...

i'll take 10 of those 1 tbps feeds for 800 euro a month... :1orglaugh

.

chaze 01-20-2011 04:39 PM

for that amount just get colo, with your own stream. No host is going to set that up without a contract and prepayment for at least a couple months. Are you you mean terabyte? 100 tb is youtube type traffic.

WebairGerard 01-20-2011 04:44 PM

Contacting you now :thumbsup

CYF 01-20-2011 05:01 PM

I would guess he means 100TB as in tera bytes of transfer per month, which is pretty big in It self. 100 tbps is just lool :)

So essentially he is looking for ~350mbps of BW per server I would think.

Brad Mitchell 01-20-2011 05:38 PM

100tb is surely designating 100 terabytes or transfer. As a rule of thumb based on average traffic patterns one can assume 225gb per 1 megabit in a translation to 95th, conservatively. Therefore, I would estimate the clients requirements at just above 400 megabit on 95th.

If its not some shitbag site with stolen content, we are happy to make a great offer for service and reward them for growing that volume the right way.

Cheers,

Brad

tried 100tb.com ?

SeizeTheDomain 01-20-2011 07:57 PM

Highly recommend you make contact with Costa @ Dedico.com

Search the threads, you wont find any complaints about them.

Good luck. Your friend has quite a few options. To me hosting, is like car insurance in some ways. You dont know how good they really are, until something needs to taken care of right away.

Did you mean 1000Mbps? A 100Mbps cap would only do (an absolute maximum of) 32TB in a month.

Looks like he was asking a question to one of the posters above that seems to have his offer a little mixed up with how the bandwidth is listed.

NETBilling-Andy 01-21-2011 03:00 PM

Hi Mikke

We can put together something like this:

Intel X3430 Quad Core
4GB RAM
4 X 2TB SATA II
1000Mbps uplink
100TB bandwidth

Fully managed solution - $499/mo

If that sounds good - or if you would like to check out different hardware options - shoot me a quick email at andy @ cavecreek.com

Thanks!
