WTF NY? No Saturday DMV Hours?
 

Im trying to buy a car from someone in Albany NY, about 5 hour drive from me. Was planning on flying out on a Saturday morning and taking care of business but there are no DMV's anywhere close that have Saturday hours :mad:

Even worse, I have to jump all through hoops to be able to drive the car back to PA. Worthless AAA is of no value.

Anyone dealt with this before or know of any other way than having to go to the DMV to get the "transportation permit?"

california DMV's are also closed on saturdays same with arizona. i think thats normal isnt it?

Looks like you can't do it online, also looks like they want your arm, half your leg, and someones first born just to freaking give you the piece of paper. Typical.

most used to have Saturday hours. When I lived in LA a few years ago I remember some being open, but thats probably changed.

In PA they have hours on Saturday from 8 to 1pm I think, but limited on what you can do.

yeah seriously. have to get all sorts of nonsense from my insurance to get the car. geez, remind me never to move to NY

Those offices are all run by the County I believe, so they're the ones setting the schedules.

I'm in NY and where I'm at, we have a number of offices with Saturday hours.
