Threat of California 'superstorm' on the rise

"Scientists warn the state could face a disaster up to five times worse than a major earthquake. It sounds like the plot of an apocalyptic action movie, but scientists with the U.S. Geological Survey warned federal and state emergency officials that California's geological history shows such "superstorms" have happened in the past."

We had like three storms hit us at once and it was amusing a few weeks ago. It rained for a week. Might not sound bad for some people, but it just doesn't rain like that here. Keep in mind if it rains here four or five times a year that's a lot for us.

LA goes into "Great Flood Of 2010" when it sprinkles. I'd hate to see something really massive happen.

Last weeks Hawaii storm on its way to California via the Pinapple Express.

Much of Southern California at least , cannot handle constant rain for 3-4 days. Storm drains back up, freeways fall apart, the ground gets saturated trees fall and slopes start shifting.
