Spring vs. Clear 4G/3G service?
My contract with Verizon is up and getting rid of their Mifi device. Was cool at first, but now seems everywhere I go, its slow or doesnt work.
I'm considering switching to a 4G device from Sprint or Clear (clear.com). Checked their coverage maps and they are decent where I need it to be. Anyone use either one of these? |
clear will beat any other wireless if your in an area where it works.

If you're mostly in urban areas, larger cities, the 4G is awesome. I was in Stockholm, Sweden for the world première of Telia and Ericsson's showcase of the new 4G back in 2009. Amazing speed and voice clarity. But 4G also requires many base stations, so effectively, coverage will for the most part only be in areas which are well populated.
If I were to buy something new today, I would definitley go with a 4G device, after all, that's what's coming. And as long as you mostly go or stay at places within the coverage, you'll be good! |
