What happened to Adult DVD content providers?

I see the biggest ones are like dead...

They quit? the business is no longer profitable or what?

I tried adultlegal.com and it shows the dreamhost page by default.

Tried worldwidecontent.com and it's not even resolving.

Tried matrixcontent.com "cannot display the page"...

DAMN. Obviously we can't close our eyes and don't admit that the adult business is in SERIOUS trouble. Anyone saying that the biz is better than ever, is a big Hypocrite and LIAR.

Period.

Agent 488 01-13-2011 10:01 PM

yes it's dead. go away. please.

Only a fool would say "the" biz is better than ever because that's an overly broad meaningless statement. But if they say that *their* biz is better than ever, that's very possible, and I know this from experience. Maybe your biz is going down the tubes but a few of the other people I was hanging with at Internext have never been busier or making more money. There's still a lot of money to be made by clever people delivering a unique product or service.

I'm here and i provide bunch of content :)

The whole Adult Internet business is in decline. Apart from Dating and Web cams. Maybe a few businesses are doing well, but that's a few. Don't believe what people tell you at a show or on a board. Marketing to surfers isn't the only marketing that's being done.

You can't sell a months supply of burgers when there's a years supply being given away for free.

Everyone has taken a hit. And while there are pockets of people who are doing well, or better than they did before, that is all relative. "Better" for them could mean you would commit suicide if you were making that little, but for them it's the most they've ever made, and so on.

I know who is doing better... people who don't have to pay for content, yet still get to profit from other people's content. Those guys are almost pure profit and kicking ass! Webcams are doing well. This I know because my cam girls are making more money than ever, but how can you beat a live experience? That is almost a no brainer.

But make no mistake about it, there is still money to be made.

Right, every time I read "webcams are great", I think in the girls, they are doing lots of money.. But not adult webmasters, most webmasters have a very hard time to convert cams, just check all the threads with 0:20,000 ratios.

Of course, the webcam-whores are getting rich with the average girl doing 15 or 20K per month, they can buy a house each year.

But the average affiliate promoting webcams is probably broken by now. Even paysites are easier to convert, and take in mind that paysites RIPS are available for free on oron.com and sharingmatrix.

I don't make dick anymore as an affiliate pushing webcams. For me, those days are long gone.

Even the webcam game changed. mfc and such seem to be doing well, but at the same time others with older billing models have been on the decline.

that's exactly what i meant :)

Lamis 01-14-2011 07:41 PM

why do you think sites like adultlegal.com and worldwidecontent.com closed their doors?

Why exactly???

There must be a very good reason why HUGE DVD content providers closed their doors completely...

If you say that they failed to adapt, then explain what they failed to adapt? Adapt to what???

allot less zeros to the left of the decimal point.

TheDoc 01-14-2011 08:53 PM

2257 records, is why most older & broker style content providers are no longer in business.

WWC and Matrix both had 2257 with my Company and AdultLegal had content they didn't legally own or have the rights to sell in the first place.
