we've just come off real all-time lows of 48c - 49c. 58c is nothing compared to 74c a decade ago... but yeah... still sucks.

it does suck, but still living here means when i make 100k
it's actually 180k :thumbsup

Any Aussie would be starting to feel a pinch right now. We had a good run at 51/52c for a while there, but now at 58 (with the possibility of going over 60) it's going to make things more interesting.

If war eventuates, they predict it will go down again when everyone buys into safe currencies like the swiss frank.

I have noticed it here in canada as well. Dammit, I hate it when out dollar here gains ground. I make less. Guess it means the US is still falling. We didn't hit a recession here even in Alberta.
