Is this the greatest run from scrimmage in NFL playoff history?

i keep watching this -because you just don't see something like this in the NFL, in high school and college you do where one player is so much bigger stronger and better than the others but these other guys are elite NFL players themselves - 9 guys couldn't take him down.

you suck.

j/k it was a hell of a run, saints looked like high school players on that one.

dyna mo 01-10-2011 10:24 AM

i hope the saints defense's coaches ripped those 9 guys to shreds for those lame ass tackle attempts.

pornguy 01-10-2011 10:28 AM

Feet. Gotta stop the feet the rest will then follow.

Mutt 01-10-2011 10:31 AM

true, can't be tackling a guy like him at the waist and above.

FreeHugeMovies 01-10-2011 10:32 AM

Not even close

I watched that game and it was an exciting run for sure but far from the best ever. This one had some poor attempts to tackle. The best part was when he shoved the defender on his ass :)

I'm sure with a little searching on youtube one could find something better. Barry Sanders had a few good ones and would be a good place to start.

And that really gutted the Saints... great run.

djroof 01-10-2011 10:53 AM

he is great!

blackmonsters 01-10-2011 10:55 AM

I'll count it as one of the greatest for sure.

Awesome, here is another great: https://youtube.com/watch?v=7uS3o...=38&playnext=2

Marcus Allen in a clutch moment to win the super bowl.

JC Maldini 01-10-2011 11:30 AM

Awesome...but he is no Barry Sanders

Maybe for the playoffs, but this is the greatest run of all time.

I wish I could understand this sport, for me this run looks nice, but I thought its all they do there - sometimes you avoid defenders and touch down, sometimes not :)

I love the stumble at the end, when he's almost in the end zone. Nice touch of drama, Steve.

You have to put it in perspective, once he made it past mid field they weren't trying to tackle him as much as they were trying to strip the ball. The game was over once he got into the Saints side of the field. The only way they had a chance was to try to rip the ball out, which is what they were trying to do and why he was able to break most of the tackles at the end. If that would have happened early in the game he would have been tackled for a lot less yards.

You're right, from a football strategy perspective. They had to get a strip -- do or die.
