Damn my oven has quit working

...the rest of the stove including the broiler element is working so is it just that the baking element needs to be replaced?

Or the switch is fucked.

Spunky 01-10-2011 06:42 AM

Did you try the fuse?

BlackCrayon 01-10-2011 06:44 AM

sounds like it. they are pretty easy to replace. when mine went the element actually broke in half, so it was easy to tell where theproblem was.

PR_Glen 01-10-2011 06:51 AM

if it were the fuse it would be the whole oven not working, elements are a cheap fix ;)

WTF!

Mine just quit too! Oven stove top everything. Only thing I can get it to do is flash a little "20" on the digital screen if I turn on a burner. Damn thing is only 4 years old and was a 800 buck stove. POS. Birds falling from the sky, fish floating up on shores and now ovens failing... what's next?

Had one that was similar. Flash F-20. If I unplugged it for a few minutes, it would work again for a week or two, but eventually it required a new control board.

That's unfortunate. These broken appliances need to be repaired.
