It's one month away according to popular culture, but of course the decorations are already gearing up in stores. This is a made up holiday that really puts pressure on expressing your passion, dedication and love through consumerism, and the more bling bling the better. We just got through a myriad of holidays focusing on family, now here's one that's emphasis is on sex.

I've spent 90% of my Valintine's Days on the single tip, and all my single girlfriends and I usually get together and drink... hard.
Being single is fun about 364 days a year ~ but that ONE day a year it really kinda sucks.

What are you guys gonna be doing come February 14th, single and involved, and what would be your perfectly spent V-Day?

Any thoughts or experience on how V-Day effects porn sales too?

The perfect holiday is Thanksgiving. All holidays should be like Thanksgiving.

since it's a made up holiday, i choose to make up my own reasons for liking valentine's day.

i like it because you don't have to just express love to a lover. you can show love to your friends, family and just people who need a little love.

Some women spend lots of money on valentines day. It may be a stupid day to some ppl but to others it's a very special day :)

well, lets do a little math, Cheshire probally didn't have any real chance of a boyfriend till she was 12 or 13 - being about 25 now that 50% of her life.

so that leaves 50% of her life to fill... most people spend their high school years single so that's about another 25% of her life, leaving only about 8 years where she could have really had a serious adult natured relationship for valentines day.

she didn't say 100% were single, so she did spend a few years with someone. - looking at it from available years to be with someone over her life span I would guess she only spent 60-70% of valentines days alone. not bad for only being about 25 years old.

Actually the 13th, but I was born 18 minutes before midnight so growing up all my birthday themes were valentines hearts and crap. I still to this day have a thing for pink crap here and there. hehe
