She was a congress woman from Arizona and was shot at an event in Tucson.

It is being reported that 3 staff members were also shot. The status of the congress woman and staff members has not been reported at this time other than they had been taken to the hospital.

It is now being reported that 12 people have been shot...but early reports are almost always wrong.
