Best Content Management System?
Anybody have any opinions?
Right now I am looking at Zope w/Plone and PostNuke. Which would people recommend? Or is there a better one out there??? |
Personally, I like Postnuke. For the longest time, skinning your site was a bit of a pain. But...someone has released a theme that seperates the code from the design. It's called AutoTheme.
Check out http://www.portalzine.de I've got all the mods and blocks that he offers and will hook you up if need be. Since it's GPL...I can do what I want with them ;) |

One thing I've noticed, though, is that there doesn't seem to be a complete list of the features of PostNuke anywhere. For example, one of the things I want to check into is how Postnuke could be tweaked to handle higher-volume sites. I know Zope and Plone can cache or even generate static pages. But I couldn't find any info on this kind of stuff for PostNuke. Do you have any suggestions for how I could find out that kind of info? |

We use Conman for some of our sites. Very easy to use. Conman rocks.

Looks like this thread is more about "mainstream" portal systems than adult CMS's ...
But if anyone's interested in the latter, then you owe it to yourself to check out the new release of Content God 2.0. Our free public demo is waiting for you. :) |
hey which is better contentgod or Conman?

EDIT: I understand it has less features, but but does it still have full control over templates, and galleries, etc.? |
