on edit- that being said, i could give a rats ass about hollywood movies. they could be pirated to high heaven and i'd have a good laugh. and as i've said before i think a law should be made for hollywood films which holds the studio accountable for spending 100 million (or whatever) on a lame ass piece of shit. the execs should do jail time for gross negligence and mis-management of funds. i'm amazed that inception is number one really, cuz all the other films in the top 20 blow chunks!

thats b.s.

most of those guys search for underage shit.

Why would people use torrents for downloading porn.... thats worst than newsgroups. Tube sites is where all the porn is at now, and you dont have to download viruses and shit.

CYF 01-18-2011 08:57 PM

Middle Men didn't make it?

solopimps 01-18-2011 11:00 PM

I like how Toy Story 3 claims both the number 11 AND 59 spots.

No one searches for TV shows by year. :2 cents: Movie files are marked by year Whatever.Movie.Name.Is.[2010].RELEASE-GROUP.avi type shit. Televisions hows are marked by season and episode. I've NEVER seen TV episodes marked by year. Your.TV.Show.Name.s01e01-episode.name.if.youre.lucky.RELEASE-GROUP.avi. I've downloaded thousands of TV episodes, and never once seen them marked by year. He was right, anyone searching for "2010" is looking for new movies.....

On that point gideon is correct actually. Porn and XXX enter the top list as general blanketed terms. They will always be there. You don't see anything else porn related kicking around, no searches for MILF, or anal sex, etc etc. The movies you're seeing are single titles. You don't see people search for "movie" or "tv episode". That shows just how huge the number of downloads for that particular show alone are, and there are thousands of them. Someone who searches for porn will down a video or two here and there. The fact that television episodes make up the majority of torrent downloads is based simply on the number of episodes out there. If someone downloads Dexter.s01e01.avi, there's a damn good chance they are going to download every single fucking episode. You're looking at 60 individual downloads if they go along one by one. :2 cents:

And Clash of the Titans was a decent flick, so stfu... :1orglaugh

bronco67 01-19-2011 12:39 AM

There's still people that use cracked Windows? Goddamn, at least buy your fucking OS you cheap ass bastards.

why is there an old mansef employee in the list?

actually refining searches are what causes 2010 to show up as an issolated term

some searches for shamless, get all the uk shameless so they refine the search with 2010 discriptor which get logged as a unique term

look at the list multi word searches are listed if someone was looking for movie name 2010 it would have shown up as movie name 2010

the trend data shows that whenever the tv season has a lot of remakes (or a really popular one ie dr who 2005) there is a spike in the issolated term of the year

and the individual episode searches will usually have season episode discriptor added in the search

ie dexter s01E01 and since the search term are counted uniquely, those individual episode show way down the list

the people searching for the term dexter all alone are the people searching for season packs or catching up on the entire series.

You're shitting me right? Yes, they will download a video here and there until they have a few hundred hours on their drive, then they will commence in earnest. Once they find some great porn to start their collection a user could easily dwarf any choad looking for all the episodes of Glee:2 cents:

amateurbfs 01-20-2011 07:09 AM

2010 is for movies, people search tv by episode and series.. tv is always titled: shownames02e01.other.bullshit

Just look at those fake download sites that scrape data for their bogus links, they know how people name files :P

look at the list predetors 2010 was a defined search term

that counted as a seperate entry than just "2010"

sure some of that will be from people searching for predetors seeing all kinds of listing for AVP and then refining the search with 2010 modifier but it never shows up that high unless the year has some major tv sequels (ie 2005- dr who/batle star )

when it just movies, the year as a termm doesn't break the top 10 it only happens in the years where popular tv shows are remade

12. Glee
Can someone explain to my why Glee is popular ??
