WE'RE GOING TO WAR BABY!!!!!

twistyneck 01-16-2003 11:23 AM

I would hardly call the BBC reputable. I'll believe it when I see it on The Daily Show.

Penn E. Less 01-16-2003 11:25 AM

Bush has his excuse to go to war now....Have to look back in history to figure out what MADE BIG MONEY after/during the war and buy those assets :winkwink:

If it doesn't make money, it doesn't make sense!

Importing warheads violates their UN agreements. They're not supposed to be doing that. Also, they didn't mention the warheads in those 12,000 pages worth of "disclosures", meaning even those were a big lie.

I think we all know Iraq is a bad place led by a bad man, only question is how dedicated are we to bother dealing with it.

in all fairness to the american public, more of them voted for al gore. and a couple days ago i saw david suzuki giving gore props on cpac. the only thing they should be faulted for is not getting more pissed about the rigging of the election

ChrisH 01-16-2003 01:08 PM

I voted for Gore.

But eitherway you'd all be screaming that Gore is an idiot right now if he had won.

:1orglaugh

Who'd a thought, Iraq has illegal missles. :thumbsup

Oh boy, get out the tinfoil hats. What rigging, praytell? Every recount done in Florida, even by liberals using methods most favorable to Gore, show that Bush won that state.

This "popular vote" harping bullshit is sort of disturbing too, and goes to show how much the average American knows about our electoral system. We don't live in a democracy, we live in a constitutional republic. Be thankful for that. I for one am glad that NY & CA don't get to determine the political plight of the rest of the country, and can look back on 9/12/01 and be glad that the popular vote didn't turn the middle east into a parking lot.

There are plenty of reasons to criticize Bush (or any politician, for that matter). Don't resort to this (s)election crap, it just makes 'ya look stupid.

Why exactly should people living in NY or CA have less influence on the government than the average redneck?

ColKurtz 01-16-2003 02:47 PM

they dont. ny and ca have several electoral votes compared to north dakota and shit.

Anyone notice that after a democrat holds office the economy falls apart? I know it?s easy to blame the Party that holds the office while the economy is down, but do you really think that the government can effect economy in real time? What Bush is facing now we can all thank the Clinton / Gore party for. Everything from the Iraq problem to our economic problems. I'm not saying the Bush is a bit gun-ho, but at least he is facing up.. Not just ignoring what is going on for the sake of public opinion. If you don't live here, if you don't vote, Go fuck yourself with your opinions of our leader.

Does that mean that Bush 41 should blame the Reagan Admin for his failed economy?

Libertine 01-16-2003 04:39 PM

Some people just don't seem to comprehend that world economy is not determined by their country's president.
