Two wins short of a .500 record, and the season's not quite half over. Looks to me like they'll make the Playoffs.

u cant keep a good laker down.Shaq predicted they would be .500 by the all star break and we are 3 weeks ahead of that projection. It's amazing what a lil defense can do for ya!

I agree, I think they are finaly coming around. The team is only so good when Kobe is the only man. Shaq takes half the year to get in shape because he fucks off too much in the off season or waits til a week before camp opens to have toe surgery.

Either way we have the two best players on the planet surounded by a bunch of scrubs. So if the two stars arent healthy the team sucks. But lately they look like the old Lakers.. I can seem them still getting the 3 or 4 seed.

And yes I'm tired of hearing about Ming.. Shaq is going to squash that guy

Myself being a huge Laker fan. It is nice to see Shaq getting healthy and in shape. Kobe stepping up and the supporting cast starting to step up. Rush hit those 3 3's a few games ago and that we all know was a product of Phil telling him and Walker that they needed to start stepping up.

Tomorrow night. The Ming Dynasty and the Shaq Dynasty collide... Will be a hell of a game to watch. I don't think Yao has had enough time in the weight room yet. He will be good, if not great. But you will see an A+ game out of Shaq on Friday that is for sure.

Sixnine. Shaq did say that. But even before that. Horry made the claim just after the Xmas loss to the Kings. That they would be at 500 at the end of Feb. Looks like the team is full of seers.

Good to see them playing with some fire again that is for sure. Lots of good teams this year though. Not only in the West, but the East has some thing to prove also. Should make for some amazing Playoffs that is for sure.

I want to see them play some real teams already.....once they beat some strong teams then I'll believe they are going places.

Don't forget that one of the 6 Dallas Mavericks losses was at the hands of the Lakers and in fact it was the second loss of the season that the Lakers handed the Mavs. Oh yeah and they beat the Blazers without Shaq too.....

Thats true. Mav's got worked last night. The kings look way better than everyone else so far this season. I think shaq screwed the lakers by talking all sorts of crap before the season even started. Thats a good rivalry though. That fight earlier this year was awesome and I'm sure it will happen again when they play.

The one time replacement to the MAN we all know as Kareem Abdul Jabbar has become one of the biggest jokes in the league with his flopping crap! I am 120 percent glad we traded him away to the Hornets for Kobe Bryant. Now that was a sweet deal!

I can't say that I hate Fish tho, he was money the year he came back from injury in time for the playoffs. He was sinking 3's like a mad man. As for Fox, thats a different story... he has become to caught up in the acting scene and his hair do's.

The Lakers do have the same roster, but the Kings have improved theirs. They're scary good, I think their biggest challenge right now is just to get up for the ordinary games.

Alright, alright...I know there's a million Laker's fans out there so we know the love-hate thing exits...very cool. That's what sports are all about, passion and rivalries. I'm not a huge fan of the NBA until the playoff's and I think the NBA does not even come close to the competitive nature of NCAA College Hoops.

I would totally have to agree with you on that. Thats why I love the Lakers in the Playoffs.... they know what's up then. I remember last year they always lost to the bad teams because they really didn't seem to care during the season. But I guess that can't be all bad.... must be saving their stuff for when it counts! I heard there are trade rumors about Horry. That would be very bad.... he is the man that allowed the Lakers to continue on in the playoffs last year with one of the biggest clutch shots I have seen in my life. Also he is a great player to have in the locker room as well. If they trade anyone I would say Fox must go.

You know I just love this Banter.... Kings fans love to bitch about the way the Refs called game 6. "Game 6 the Refs were in it for the NBA cause everyone wanted to see a 7 game series and the Kings get no respect..." Ok fine I will agree with you. I think the refs may have been a bit shaddy or not on their game in Game 6.

But lets break this down. Go back and watch the end of game 5. You watch the end and tell me when Kobe is taking the last shot of that game that Bobby Jackson doesn't have a hand full of his Jersey. NO CALL.

You want to whine some more... Why don't you go back and look at the Wonderful Exhibition of free throw shooting that The Kings put up in Game 7. If I remember correctly it was some where in the 30% range. And that game went to OT so we are talking about one more shot at the line makes all the difference in the world.

That series went back and forth and I know many of us wish that it would have meant the championship seeing how pitiful of a challenge the Net put up.
