Porn will ALWAYS be here but in changing forms. I do believe, IF the gov't or someone does not stop FREE porn, you will see very few webmasters around spending 10-12 hours a day trying to get signups. I remember getting 35-40 signups A DAY easily back in the late 90's. Now it's just 2-3 a week. That's why I heavily promote phone sex. Non free out there although some sites say they are free but if you read all the fine print you will have to pull your CC out.
Believing there will be lot's of webmasters GONE there will be many many programs gone also. Just a matter of reality thinking here. I wished it was not true but the writing is on the wall.
Mainstream, where you sell products, won't die because you are dealing with a physical product. I buy/sell rare coins being in the business over 50 years and am finding the internet to be better than the brick and mortor store I had for 30+ years. It's a market I know and I make VERY GOOD money at it on a daily basis.
If you know something mainstream that you can physically market yourself ... by all means GO FOR IT NOW. Don't waste any time. You'll be glad you did.
