I like both of those browsers quite a bit but have little annoyances with each of them. I seem to be stuck on FireFox but getting tired of it now too

Can't find the Lynx broswer in the list above.

FireFox is the only laggy browser I've ever used. It's annoying.

The fact you have stuck with IE for this long means you aren't cool enough for the Internet, please turn off your computer.

Try Firefox 4. It's better.

Dodododa 12-31-2010 08:11 AM

I don't know, but I wish they would all settle on one standard. I'm sick of things looking different from browser to browser.

bigmacandcheese 12-31-2010 09:50 AM

I use Firefox as my main browser and then chrome or safari when I get pissed off at firefox. IE is the devil.

Interesting to see how many people here are using chrome

ottopottomouse 12-31-2010 10:14 AM

Mosaic.

I have used firefox for years. Pain in the ass slow once in awhile. But I am too lazy to change over.

EDepth 12-31-2010 10:45 AM

Chrome is great, but it has terrible password management. It auto-enters the wrong saved username for me all the time on sites that have multiple logins.

Cyandin 12-31-2010 10:46 AM

Despite some recent problems I've had, FF remains the best IMHO.

SmokeyTheBear 12-31-2010 02:24 PM

internet explorer is still the best browser around , supported by the most sites. it is a tad bloated.

google chrome is fast , lacks many things, one really annoying bug is the google toolbar not being supported on their own browser

firefox is slow and bloated, nothing to gain by using it unless you use plugins.

CYF 12-31-2010 02:26 PM

firefox is good for the plugins. I also like safari and opera.

Horny Dude 12-31-2010 11:25 PM

Chrome, after that Firefox.

Shags 01-01-2011 12:37 AM

Opera
11.00

Kiopa_Matt 01-01-2011 12:51 AM

FireFox, especially now that they seem to have fixed the problem of it sucking up your entire CPU at times. That got annoying, but I haven't experienced it for ages now.

BIGTYMER 01-01-2011 01:43 AM

Chrome is fucking FAST!

Chosen 01-01-2011 04:12 AM

There is no Opera... Poll fail...

djroof 01-01-2011 04:28 AM

Mozzila user and Chrome sometimes

Jakez 01-01-2011 09:44 AM

I don't even use Chrome just have it installed. I opened it just now to compare the memory usage vs Firefox. It has like 5+ friggin' chrome.exe's running and uses way more memory than Firefox and that's just with one page open. If I were to use it regularly it would probably be using 2x as much memory. I don't get the Chrome hype...

I love Firefox but to be fair I believe you see that because Chrome uses separate processes. It's also the case that on many systems the memory usage reported under Task Manager isn't actually being used as it appears with shared memory. Since Chrome uses separate processes it will always use slightly more (around 10 - 30%) memory than browsers that don't however it's not quite as bad as it might appear. :)

For more info on this see http://blog.chromium.org/2009/08/chr...ory-usage.html

Code:

PID USER      PR  NI  VIRT  RES  SHR S %CPU %MEM    TIME+  COMMAND
2559 barry    20  0  919m 184m  34m S    1  4.7  10:48.06 firefox-bin

FireFox works fine here but on an older computer ...

The current version for LINUX is also different from the windoze one. That makes a difference too.

ppixel01 01-01-2011 10:08 AM

Firefox - no more no less

sojproductions 01-01-2011 10:17 AM

chromes simplicity and speed does it for me.

The fact that opera is not included in the poll is just another confirmation for your statement :)
