Introduction of a newbie
 

Goodday all.

Im probably the biggest newbie in town so i figured i'd introduce myself.

I've been thinking about starting an adult site to generate links to porn membership sites ( probably not the best description ever ).
If i understood correctly u can join affiliate programs, get content for on your own site and hope your visitors wil be enticed to sign up for a (trial) membership.

Im currently creating a TGP ( thumbnail gallery post? ) site. This seemed to me a little easier to set up than a tube site as i'm planning the site to run on my own server. No hassle with streaming servers & datastorage.

I do, however, have tons of questions. I probably have more questions after i've read a zillion posts here than i had before. :)

From what i've gathered so far, my expectations are low. Im not expecting thousands of dollars right away. I've read here that it takes time to build your site/network, get traffic, SEO ranking etc.

I wont overwelm this thread with my Top 100 questions, i will save them for the appropriate threads or will start my own.

Essentially, i just wanted to say.

I havent registered a domain yet. As suggested on this forum, im going to select a few niches. For every niche i will setup a diffrent domain, which will be using the same php source code except will the layout files be diffrent.

Im the niches im thinking of to start with are:
teens,
amateur,
and lesbian.

10 Years ago i knew nothing about building a website from scratch with php5, jquery, javascript, html, css, mysql, postgresql and creating stuff with photoshop. But now i do.

That said, i do realise that creating just 'another' TGP site isnt going to cut it. I have a few features in mind that hopefully keep people coming back for.

If nothing else, i will have learned alot about SEO and designed working features which i may be using in other projects.

PS. Anyone ever tried UNITY3D incorperating in an ( adult ) website with a mysql backend? Im thinking of creating some sort of simple (addictive )sexgames.

Welcome and like everyone has said the niches you picked aren't the best to start with. If I were you I'd stick to really under exposed niches that have sponsors with FHGs. The weirder is not neccesarily the better though but it doesn't hurt.
