This movie grips you from the very beginning and it does not let you go, my heart was racing all the way up until the very end. There are elements of horror, and I was spooked more than once.

Aronofsky is extremely talented

I've heard good things about the movie. But ballet? Does not interest me that much.

The commercials basically just make it look like a ballet movie. But then I hear about lesbian sex scenes and rape and I am a little more interested in it now.

Crazy part is on the news wire this morning that Portman is engaged to her dance instructor (or somesuch) from the movie, plus she's pregnant.

I thought it was great! it was a little disturbing (like the fingernail thing) but it was really good.
