HELP! My site (on phatservers) is down!
 

...but that's by far NOT the only one down right now!

My second domain (cockyteens.com) on sexyadulthost.com is down, too! And I just did some submissions and noticed several other sites not responding: bunnyteens, paradiseTGP, to name a few...

what's wrong at the moment? some major router 'kaputt'?

I can pull up all of the sites you listed... must be your isp.

BunnyTeens works for me, and I'm pretty sure he's on not on Phatservers.

O.k - can get Bunnyteens again (that was 40 minutes ago that I couldn't...)

Yippee - my own site is back up as well!

But they were all down for almost 3 hours - that's what's Sextracker's telling me!

That is so weird. I had normal traffic but twice the joins today. Hmmm. Always backwards from everyone else.

I can ping and trace it perfect. Looks more like a server problem to me(don't bite me when I'm wrong:))

After this post I had to leave the house thinking everything was o.k. again, and today my counter shows that the server went down for another 3 hours...

phatservers acknowledged a router problem on http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/sh...threadid=47815 - but do you think they bothered to reply to my email?! Until now I was happy with their support, but this...

According to another thread running parallel [ http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/showth...=phatse rvers ] datahosters were down, too! And from what I experienced these 2 weren't the only ones...

So what was the problem yesterday?

You don't have to leave us all in the dark! Bad enough that the surfers' screen remained blank...

I explained what the problem was.We have answered every email that has came in and I have taken dozens of phone calls.
While it was only a small part of our network that had a problem,we have been working non-stop on it to get these customers stable.

What is your email?
I am looking through all of them and I dont se any with the sites you listed in them.

That's a server problem, it's not responding to http requests (port 80)...

Phatservers is hte best, i never had downtime (knock on wood) and the customer service is above Excellent. I give them +A in hosting and customer service.

This is on mach10 btw , not even on our boxes

just a FYI

Moose - My account with you is TropicHeat - and NO - I haven't received an answer from you in my email... Phoning USA from AUS, going thru a switchboard, being on hold, etc. doesn't seem to be worth it in the electronic age of email and ICQ (would be good to have an ICQ contact for you guys = don't have at the moment!)...

The other sites I listed (like my other domain on a free host, and bunnyteens, etc.) was in the context of me thinking that it was some major outage in some parts of the US - hence not necessarily related to phatservers :D The reason I put phatservers into the message header: last time my site was down (some 4-5 months ago) you didn't reply to my email either, an hour later I posted it here and everything was fixed within 10 minutes...

So bottom line: I'm NOT un-happy with your hosting, but I feel let-down but a lack of communication when I contact you via email.
BTW: the email (highest) was sent to [email protected] - din't receive a 'ticket number' either!

It's sad that people think they need to bring their hosting issues to a public forum. Both for the host and the customer. If both parties took the appropriate steps we wouldn't have to read a stupid "my sites are down" thread.

Makes for good drama tho.!

In a way you're right: I first icq-ed a friend to confirm if he had the same problems, then checked my sextracker. After I was sure my sites were down I sent an email first, waited well over two hours (no reply!), noticed in the meantime a number of other sites being down, and then posted it here! At that stage I thought of it as a general question since it affected a number of sites and hosts...

Moose contacted me and "set things straight": their mail server was knocked out by the same router problem, so they never received my mail...

I never had any doubts that phatservers would do their best to fix the problem in the shortest possible timeframe!
