Madoff's investors will get at least half their $$ back!
 

Many of Bernard Madoff's victims who thought they lost everything could get at least half their money back after the widow of a Florida philanthropist agreed Friday to return a staggering $7.2 billion that her husband reaped from the giant Ponzi scheme.

Federal prosecutors reached the settlement with the estate of Jeffry Picower, a businessman who drowned after suffering a heart attack in the swimming pool of his Palm Beach, Fla., mansion in October 2009. Picower was the single biggest beneficiary of Madoff's fraud.

U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara called the forfeiture the largest in Justice Department history and a "game changer" for those swindled by Madoff. He commended Picower's widow, Barbara, "for agreeing to turn over this truly staggering sum, which really was always other people's money."

It definitely messes up the system when people sit on that kind of money rather than letting it flow through the channels

By the time the victims actually see that money in their bank accounts the USD will be devalued greatly from where it is today.

Madoff made his money by manipulating investors, whereas Soros manipulates the market, which is a lot harder to prove. Both just as bad

Correct me if I'm wrong. If you're caught growing Pot in your back garden and selling to your neighbor you risk losing everything.

If you're caught swindling billions from innocent people you risk losing what? Beside your liberty.

Madoff and his wife should be penniless and anyone else who got their hands on the money swindled.

It is very strange to see the mainstream media turning on him like they have. He's someone who's been in the shadows for so many years. The only reason I use him as an example is as most of you will now have heard of him, but of course there are far worse people. (Rockefeller etc)
