So North Korea i am pretty sure will be invaded this year:
Kim Jung Il is supposedly very sick. Most likely will not live another year.
They put his second son in command which is almost unheard of in a totalitarian state like North Korea. Rumors are all sons are very weak and he was the best choice. Who wants to bet that once he passes, or word of his passing the western media will plaster a large North Korean attack on South Korea. (they have already been broadcasting smaller scale North Korean attacks to get the public prepared) And in turn South Korea will invade. And the Americans will be there to "help" "liberate" the poor North Korean people. Who wants to bet at the same time China gets very pissed? it is going to be fun! more war! more dead soldiers. just what everyone in the west loves! hopefully they put GI JOE back on TV. propaganda rules! |
which one are you in this pic?
i am guessing the little girl with a squirrel hat holding the toy toilet. http://yaktivate.s3.amazonaws.com/th...Fruit_Loop.jpg |
This thread should have been entitled: Who wants to bet?
Incidentally, I wouldn't bet on any of that happening. |
Not likely

There has been 2 occasions where they say the North attacked the south in the last couple months. The North also stated any kind of attack they will retaliate. Anyone read up on what happened in Pearl Harbor? No need for an attack on the "Homeland" when you are an imperialist state like america you have an excuse to attack anywhere you want because well your ring of influence is basically everywhere. so you two feel the timing of these attacks from the north on the south and the announcement of the son taking a high general possition is just chance? why would you as a country in an extremely volatile situation attack anyone? especially one when you already know the leader to be has weak personality traits. you wouldnt. the americans already have a mole in the north korean government and war will happen. ever heard of the Shah of Iran? do some research on him and his American influence. then the puzzle starts to fit nicely. |

"This year" has about 14 days left in it.
As such, with respect to your prediction, I'm going to have to say "not likely." ;-) |

Nobody is going to "invade" North Korea. There's nothing there of any value.
At most they would be bombed. Bad predicition. |
Bombing doesn't feed enough American families by sending their kids to war.

2nd part about oil. there is becoming safer and safer usage of nuclear energy. oil will be slowly phased out (over long period of time) in my opinion. and since the control of Iraq, Afghanistan and full cooperation from Canada, there is less worry about oil in between this period. the new war is going to be for minerals which north korea is high in. governments are already looking past oil imo. --- ****about this year, i meant upcoming year. i am no prophet just read through facts and base an opinion. |

i think of the boom of india cell phone useage with your quote. i see a good documentary on it but it seems to have slipped my mind. "The Indian Mobile subscriber base has increased in size by a factor of more than one hundred since 2001 when the number of subscribers in the country was approximately 5 million[6] to 687.71 Million in Sep 2010." |

My confidence level is high that there will not be an invasion this year...but we will know if you are correct in your prediction within the next 14 days.

No one wants the war so there will be none. Even if US wanted to attack (what they definetely don't with their problems in Afghanistan, economy etc...) they will still have to persuade China to let them. South Korea is the last one who wants the war, because even if they won, what will they do with millions of poor people with no qualification? It would ruin their economy for at least 20 years. What everybody wants is some kind of deal with North Korea that they will not try to mount their few nukes on some kind of rocket and maybe that they will try to loose the hardness of regime little bit. Onkly possibility of attack is that someone throws over the regime and it would be imminent that rockets and grenates will start to fall on Seoul.

i think south korea is interested to invade the north korea to help poor people in north
|
Well, here's my prediction then:
1.) There isn't going to be a war between the North and South. China won't allow it. Neither the South or the US (especially) want to see a war, and China was absolutely no desire to send soldiers into Korea, especially considering they don't even need to. 2.) If the North starts acting stupid, China will just tell them to shut up, which they will. And more than likely, the North has already been told that. It's already been heavily reported that China is getting fed up with the North, and the newer generation of leaders even more so. 3.) You have to understand, for all intents & purposes, China currently owns the economies of almost every SE Asia country, have the US basically bought & paid for, are quickly moving in on the Australian economy, etc. China doesn't need or want to goto war. They're more than happy using their intelligence & economic superiority to take over countries' economies, which they're very good at. China doesn't have to fire a single shot. 4.) If I had to make a guess, I would say if anything, a deal will be brokered to unite the two Koreas under Seoul leadership, which will be backed by China. However, China will make sure Seoul treats them very favorably when it comes to contracts, natural resources, etc. North Korea disappears, South Korea gets to live in peace, and China basically gets both Koreas. And not a single shot will be fired in the entire process. |
