If you had the technology to spam would you?

If you had all the software, infrastructure , expertise, and a sponsor that accepted spam traffic would you spam?

I would think pressing the button a few million times would get to be a drag.

I was just interested in the prevailing attitude towards spam. A year or two ago the people here would have lynched a spammer no questions asked. Now there are folks advertising their spam capabilities and spam friendly programs.

If anybody is interested in doing some email marketing , hit me up - I know a couple of great converting sponsors.

spam to emails that didnt opt in = no

Something that might be more annoying than email spam is chat spam. Go on yahoo chat sometime and its just unrelentless. and a bit suprising who hosts some of those guys.

Manga1 01-15-2003 08:13 PM

Seems like the battle against spam is a losing one. I mean short of a few psychotic anti-spammers with no lives, does anybody really care about spam? I delete at least 500 spam emails a day. I've gotten numb to it. It used to piss me off, but now I expect it. Fact of online life.

Fartman 01-16-2003 06:03 AM

Spam is getting harder and harder to send with all the new filters. My advice is to start now if you're going to start and get your piece of the pie before it's all gone. There are lotsa sponsors who are more than willing to accept spam traffic so you don't ave to worry about hosting.

If anyone should need any software or advice on spamming feel free to mail me [email protected]

Two years ago people would have made a "die spammers!" post in the thread to discourage the competition, voted no in the poll out of shame, and then gone back to spamming.

Now at least the poll is honest.

Sad results. Just sad.

Just don't show up all confused when the whole industry bottoms-out because nobody trusts anything "adult" because of the years of mistreatment with popups, scams, spam, and "free" trials.
