entered some contest, forgot about it, ended up winning...
 

So I got a free wristwatch.

www.prometheuswatch.com was doing a give-away, I was one of about 55 people that entered and they emailed me last week telling me I won.

I thought it was bullshit, they asked for a shipping address, I asked what else they needed and they said that was it so I gave it a shot.

A week later I get a tracking number, and 2 days after that my doorbell rings and guy drops off a watch.

This thing is supposed to be indestructible as far as daily use goes, and I'm pretty rough on watches due to being clumsy so we'll see what happens.

Thought that was pretty cool though, getting a $700 watch right before the holidays.

congrats! i recently entered my cat in a contest then forgot about it. a few days ago i got a e-mail saying she made it to the semi finals. no clure if its BS but we will see in the next month what the dealio is.

Thats pretty cool.

I still can't figure out how to set the time on it so it might not get much use until I can figure that out. I am always 2-3 hours late to anything unless I'm getting paid to be there.

My cat is busy corresponding with a Nigerian cat at the moment. Apparently my cats has won something, but wants me to let it use my bank details to claim it.

I said 'No'

My cat got in a huff and is ignoring me. It says I know full well it doesn't have a bank account because its a cat, soI am being unreasonable.

I was waiting for them to ask me for my CC number or my bank info. For once I got an email from a foreign country (Spain I think) about something legit.

On an automotive forum. I was surprised there weren't many entrances either. One of the admin's on the site has one and was blowing me up when he found out I won telling me how awesome it is. I still can't figure out how to set the time and I've read the booklet four times.

To be honest this will make a great knock-around watch. My others are a Cartier and a Breitling which are locked in a safe hidden in my condo and rarely come out.

with having a cellphone at all times I never wear a watch, it would probably annoy the hell out of me having something strapped to my wrist all day :2 cents:

It's more of an accessory than a time piece. I still end up checking my phone for the time but once I get used to wearing a watch again it'll be second nature to look to it for time.
