usually grab something from wordpress.org and tweak that but shit has been underwhelming there.

just make sure you check all the files properly and decode anything that's hidden in base64 before using it. more and more themes site are adding shit now.

there are few good link trade networks made up mainly of blogs. thats where I go to find themes. also nice to see the them in action instead of a junky png image with text in a foreign language.

yes meant to add free of encoded hacker/spam crap.

Most of them you find are used as link bait - they just load the footer.php with cack which even a novice can edit and remove easily.
