What would be the best CMS if you are to run an online magazine like deal that has multiple writers.

I always thought Wordpress, but looks like lots of people are using Joomla and stuff. Your thoughts ?

I use wordpress for everything. You have authors and contributors functions in wordpress and that's exactly what you need

I use Wordpress for my sites.

If you need more confirmation, Wordpress :)
I hated Joomla from day one. It's probably personal, saw some nice sites build with it, but still, my first choice for (almost) ANY site would be Wordpress :)
