Looks like an AFF program? If so, I had a similar problem with about $400 worth of sales from two different customers. A few days after the sales were made they were credited back. While I realize it can legitimately happen I made the decision to cut my promotion of them by 90% going forward in response to the incident and recent sales patterns.

greg80 12-12-2010 09:47 AM

same thing happened to me, but it was only $200 luckily. It was getiton

Enjoys the product and then tells the bank it wasn't him

Exactly the same as - yet completely unlike - real tea.

fris 12-12-2010 04:43 PM

chargebacks are so 90s

MobiusMike 12-12-2010 05:11 PM

Doesn't look like a stolen card to me since it was used over the course of an entire month. More likely someone with buyer's remorse/friendly fraud or a kid in the house who stole mom and dad's card.

Cam sites are a lot like poker sites, you have to put velocity checks in place to slow the customer down or attempt to do further verification to make sure that their the actual card owner and not the teenage son.

bloggerz 12-12-2010 07:59 PM

that sucks....

Arnox 12-12-2010 08:02 PM

Fucking blows.

Ah well. That's life, I guess. :/

Argos88 12-12-2010 08:36 PM

what sponsor is that??

and what Paysite?

Who can waste 100 bucks for a join?= I don't get it...

How does a webmaster verify a sponsor saying it's a charge back is true?

That's what I was thinking, I wouldn't trust some of these cam sponsors further than I could spit them.

I guess you could always ask the sponsor for their settlement reports from their processor. That will provide the chargeback with the unique id assigned to the original transaction.

You could even punch down to the chargeback reason code if you got the right reports.

Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that they'll provide that level of detail to an affiliate.

CamJack 12-13-2010 10:24 AM

They should only be able to go back 6 months

On regular paysites that might be ok, on cams though it should be 1 week.

We had a guy cb'ing 2400 like 2 years ago. Claiming the son stole dads cc or something along those lines.

I feel your pain :(

fatfoo 12-13-2010 12:32 PM

Good luck getting more money.
