ICM Claims Dot-XXX Victory

First I thought that the meeting went against them, now seems that its closer to getting approved. You think that GAC will block it or not? Anyone knows what is/was the stand of GAC towards .xxx? |
hope they block it

Note the bits about the need for "procedures to identify strings that could raise national, cultural, geographic, religious and/or linguistic sensitivities or objections" and that such procedures "should apply to all pending and future TLDs." This is far from establishing that the GAC is against the approval of .XXX, of course, but it doesn't take a lot of reading in between the lines to understand that .XXX could very well be something that could inspire some of the "sensitivities or objections" referenced in the letter. |
