Anyone Use A Vaporizer?

Friend of mine told me unless you spend several 100 bucks there is no point in getting one because it will be garbage.

bcvaporizer.com has them for around 75 bucks.

It will be dead within 6 months. I have a friend who has gone through 5, yes 5! >$100 vapes in the last 2 years. I keep telling him to upgrade but I guess he'd rather keeping buying the "disposables."

Edit: The cheapies will often just burn your stuff anyway, which completely negates the reason for using it in the first place and, well, it's just nasty.

Volcano for forced air, Natural Goods for hose style.

http://www.gotvape.com/store/digital...easy.valve.php - this one?

Pretty pricey but very tempting.

I have, and prefer, the "solid" valve over the "easy" valve.

What is the major difference(s) between the two?

Ayla_SquareTurtle 12-09-2010 06:31 PM

It's been a while since I messed with an "Easy" but if I remember correctly, you are throwing out the little connector piece each time and can't choose the size of your bags because the bag and connector piece are attached to one another. You have to buy a whole new connector/bag combo when your bag needs replacing.

With my solid valve, I grab turkey bags from the grocery store, cut them exactly how big I want them, and stick them on there.

Check this out: http://volcanotips.com/volcano/solid...vs-easy-valve/

Someone in the comment section there was talking about a way to be able to replace your "easy" bag without tossing the connector piece. Maybe it's possible but it just doesn't seem worth the trouble as it then makes the "easy" less easy than the alternative. I love my solid.

All I need is a pack of zig zags. :)

Makes two of us. I'm currently taking break :pimp

baddog 12-09-2010 07:39 PM

If I was going to invest in one, volcano.

cherrylula 12-09-2010 07:45 PM

vaporbrothers standard... they make them with a ceramic heating element and they last a way long time now, plus I think they have the best repair warranty if it does break.

Have both and both still work after ten years. I don't smoke much myself anymore, but they still get used by guests and friends that come around.

Vapor Brothers is quality.:thumbsup

No surprise there. My Volcano and my friend's Natural Goods have both been tripped over and knocked off of tables multiple times, still ticking.

Bomber8888 12-09-2010 08:58 PM

Vapor Brothers never had a problem with it in 3 years!
