Yeah...this is not-so-great news.

this is more than retarded:

Meanwhile, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation held a press conference once again targeting AIM and applauding the county for shutting down the clinic.

“The fig leaf for the adult industry has been removed,” said Michael Weinstein, AIDS Healthcare Foundation president.

But he said the county needs to do more to protect the public’s health.

“The adult film industry needs to be shut down, or start enforcement of condom use today,” Weinstein said.

Weinstein said that AIM and the adult industry have been breaking the law for years and that politicians have been unwilling to enforce the current law

Seen this coming.

I'm sure something will get worked out for the better.

Ok people this is where it begins going into 2011 and approaching 2012.

The porn industry will be shut down in the US starting with LA. This is just the beginning.

I am sure some of you may challenge me on this, but just let time tell.

I have already seen the pamphlet on the new law up for vote. Which will be passed with out most even knowing about it.

Until I have confirmation I will only touch lightly on the new law:
Class 1 and 2 felonies:
"Any who commits physical sexual contact in content used for public viewing, media release, websites, photography, video, digital media
with out medical approved protection will be guilty of involuntary manslaughter/homicide."

So yes this law will be in effect the same as, if one has AIDS and knowingly and willing has unprotected sex with someone.

This will be the ploy to keep thousands of performer from not doing porn.

I have had 'normal' non porn friends mention this to me today. That always feels weird when 'normals' follow porn related news.

If they can't sort it out in California, which I'd be surprised if they can't, they will move it to Arizona or somewhere else.

There is still too much money to be made for everyone just to call it a wrap.

If no one dies, there is no homicide so there can not be manslaughter. I have never heard of "attempted involuntary manslaughter/homicide." I think attempted murder would be a tough sell.

One question though, can't you get a test at a hospital or doctor's office? It eliminates the database but people can still carry paper. Or is AIM a lot faster and paperwork too easy to forge (which would be an easy attempted murder scenario)?

I think it was irresponsible of AIM to be operating without a license all these years. I can not believe they did not presume that would be required. And why could they not complete the application? You can't really blame anyone other than AIM for this situation. :2 cents:

I have been in Sacramento several times with FSC and have talked with state Assembly people and Senators on behalf of the industry...I can tell you that 1) if that is being floated in Sacramento it wont pass and 2) if it did it could easily be legally challenged and would be by more than just the adult industry.

AHF and other groups have consistently failed to get support for any of their schemes at a state level. Politicians in California know how important the industry is to the state. The last time I was up in Sacramento the Republicans killed a porn tax bill in committee even before it came to a committee vote - basically it got zero support even when the state was starved for money. No one wants to overcrowd a penal system with porn performers. There's no money for it.

You do not know how to read. This is will what "THEY" call prevention. It will scare away those who wish to perform sexual acts on camera.

GARY LEE 12-10-2010 12:41 AM

AIM may not have been the best system but it was OUR system. I hate it when the government fucks with our business or our systems in any way.
Condom use (in my opinion) should be another one of our personal choices. Its like drinking where there are risks involved but it is legal and should be left up to the adult. Over the years I have met many women that I have had sex with and not used a condom. I have met others when I really thought about wearing two of them. My body my choice and if some government politician wants to make my choice for me then I have one thing to say to them, GFY!

Seems like an easily correctable situation if the stated facts from the media are true. How did they have a permit to stay open this long without already having an affiliated hospital to turnover infection cases? Did they previously have an affiliated medical group that dropped them, or have they been skirting requirements?

AHF heat doesn't help them any, but maybe some of it is necessary. They are the safety mechanism watching over people's lives in our industry.
