Looks like a good time to bring back Shane's World
 

I just read Shane's World wrapped up shooting a new film in the Caribbean. I haven't heard of them in a long time. Just last week Michael and I were talking and he mentioned how Shane's World would kill right now with the direction of what's selling these days. Might be a good time for them to make a comeback. I think if they revamped their tour they could really see a nice boost in business.

Shap I'm the biggest fan of their college invasion site. The format and style was way above the curve...

I remember meeting the ownersand giving him props and he sent me over 3 dvd's, 3 shirts and a flask it was the best care package I ever got.

Aireck was pushing them hard for a long time and really built up the site, I haven't heard of them in a while...

Yeah that content is very similar to DareDorm which is tearing it up. It's all about timing and marketing. I think the hush hush deal fucked them hard

Shane's World had great content, but their online marketing was terrible. I know a few people tried to build them up, but it just never happened. Honestly, I don't think they'd make much of a dent if they came back again. I prefer to stick with the companies who endure than those who just close shop when things get tough.

They do produce great stuff, but to build up their name again would require some serious deep pockets.

when and how did they fall off?

that wasn't really building up the site. that was being hired to completely redo their web department and all properties. i think it turned out well. i haven't seen much happen to it since. they still make good movies.

shap you're right about that tour. in 2006 when it was done, it was hot. not so much anymore. doesn't fit the current landscape anymore.

Just wrapped the first movie back and it looks great! Lot's of exciting new projects in the works!!

There is SO much work to be done but i agree timing is everything ;-)

They always seemed like they didnt have their shit together online wise unfortunately. Some amazing content. I really believed Casey Parker had a legit title shot at being one of the top solo girls, The comp trailer, tour and more was before its time.

i hope they can bring on a good team of people to run the website and hopefully an affiliate program

We were always a super small boutique program. We always did pretty well with what we had.

We actually had never tried the program "out of house". Hindsight is 20/20 ... but i think that would have been the way to go. There were so many things going on at that time with DVD, Broadcast, Toy Lines, Etc Etc .. i think the internet part of it was never fed all the resources it needed because it made money and did well with no one doing much of anything for a long time hahah You would be surprised at the rebills it's still doing. One thing i can say for the brand .. if people like it ... they LOVE it!

Airek did a great job to build it up while he was there! I give him a lot of credit (Meow! ::hugs my dear!::) and he deserves every ounce of that.

This was actually the first and foremost thing discussed with the rebirth of the company. A much needed long over due revamp of ALL things online! We have been working on that from the get go.

I totally agree with you on Casey ... she had a certain it factor for sure! ::currently search for a new one! Wish me luck! hahah::
