Do you turn off the touch pad on your laptop?

I find it hard to type without hitting mine all the time. I always use an external mouse and turn mine off. Today I am having problems working out how to turn this one off and what a pain in the ass it is ...

Just wanted to vent here

I always turn mine off if I am using an external device

I found an option. You can set it to turn off automatically when an external mouse is plugged in to the USB. Wow finally. This is great

I just smash my touch pad with a hammer immediately after purchasing laptop. Saves ages of time looking for the setting.

Yeah, that is what I do. I used to hate having my cursor bounce all over my paragraphs.
