Is there any legit reason for a legal adult business in the US to host off-shore?

On the other side of the coin, most UK based adult businesses have to host in the States as the restrictions by UK hosting companies mean its impossible to host anything other than 'glamour' or 'softcore'

sorry, im clueless just looking for a bit of info here. not many of the 'big boy' hosts are off-shore so i wonder if they have greater security risk? or is it a non-issue?

There are a lot of issues. Liability, taxation depending on where your corps. are based, legislation, and privacy.

And yes as posted above, its far less likely you'll get your door broken down and your servers seized.
