Has Firefox development gone down hill?

...I usually have a crash two or three times a day. Does anyone else experience this?

Davy 12-04-2010 02:36 AM

No, sorry. But I only use Firefox for debugging, so I don't have it open all the time or surf with many tabs open.

SGS 12-04-2010 02:41 AM

Not had a firefox problem for months actually.

SomeCreep 12-04-2010 02:51 AM

nope. still good.

Emil 12-04-2010 03:23 AM

Haven't noticed anything yet... Maybe it's because I'm using Chrome.

iggysick 12-04-2010 03:27 AM

Jon Oso 12-04-2010 04:15 AM

Mine crashes at least once or twice a day. I usually have two windows open and anywhere from 4-10 tabs.

signupdamnit 12-04-2010 06:18 AM

If you're using windows you might have some malware installed. It seems most windows users do.

bignasty 12-04-2010 08:59 AM

Mine doesn't crash, but after a while of being opern it gets to using a lot of memory.

If your browser is crashing that much, I don't care if you're using internet explorer -- something is wrong with the install, your os, or the site's you are visiting.

No modern browser should crash that much.

I have not ever had internet explorer crash when using it on the same windows and tab that I have open every day. FF did not start crashing until the next to last update.

I do think I will uninstall it and try again and if that does not correct the problem I will go back to using internet explorer full time.

Jakez 12-04-2010 11:11 AM

Don't have any problems with mine crashing, but it sucks how a good browser always comes out and is blazingly fast, until they update it and update it and update it and it becomes riddled with 'features' that make it just as slow as the browser people left for it.

CyberHustler 12-04-2010 11:14 AM

Just do it...

WebairGerard 12-04-2010 11:28 AM

FF still my primary browser and rarely have issues. always have a million tabs open too. can be a bit of memory hog. chrome I use occasionally and like it so far.

Ethersync 12-04-2010 11:54 AM

Firefox sucks now. End of story.
