Christ, I was wrong about MAGA : Ivanka moving shoe factory out of China !

No, really , she is ... .!!!!!

I am so ashamed of being duped by the snowflakes and those socialists-communists....

Ivanka Trump?s Shoe Factory Is Moving From China To Ethiopia Because Labor Costs There Are Much Cheaper

Donald Trump has pledged to bring long-lost American manufacturing jobs back from China. But he may be too late ? even for products that bear his family name. A Chinese company that makes shoes for his daughter?s fashion line is moving production to Africa, where labor is much cheaper.

Well its likely a tall order, considering it's pretty well known most of her shoe designs are rip offs from other designers..

She obviously isn't in the business of quality, but just like her dad, the business of ripping people off. It's a family tradition after all..

Yeah, baddog I'd never expect Trump or his daughter to live up to their own bullshit ramblings..

Ivanka hasn't done anything. Her company is just part of the system.
The company that makes her shoes (which by the way don't just make her shoes but make millions of shoes for other customers worldwide) has moved production to Ethiopia to cut costs.

The shoe company in question has spent 1 billion on a new plant and is creating 1000'a of jobs.

But yeah Trump bad.

If she wasn't Trump, I'd say yes. But Trump family business model is to relabel cheap shoes, vodka, water, steaks etc and sell it under "Trump" name. Then close it down and find another product to push. So forget about being New Balance, LL Bean or Under Armour.

I can't stand Ivanka Trump. Or people like her. She talks about women's rights like she knows all about it; She doesn't have a fucking clue. She's never been an employee; She has no idea what it's like to give birth to a child and trying to raise the child and balance work for the first six months (or eighteen years). She will never understand what it's like to have $300 in a bank account and that has to last two weeks for two people and a baby.

She claims to be for family values but the truth is her father is walking around saying "Grab them by the pussy".

Yes.

This is exactly what her father is talking about - bringing back jobs to America. Instead of making stuff in China, you build a plant and make it in the US. It's not like it's that difficult, others are doing it: All American Clothing Made in the USA

This kills me. Her father is President and is talking about "Making America Great Again" and bringing back jobs to the US while outsourcing EVERYTHING. Even two thirds of the staff at his resort in Florida isn't even American.

Ivanka has her trademarks from China now. Chinese trademarks are the only thing that stops Chinese knockoffs of your products being made in China.

Now Ivanka takes her production to Ethiopia, the cheapest place possible where she can maintain quality, and China will never knock off her products.

Any good business person would do this, if they didn't care about American jobs.

The article says that the Chinese company making her shoes is moving some production to Ethiopia. How many people get to tell their suppliers how to do their jobs?

FWIW, Trump said he wanted to change import laws so US businesses could remain competitive while manufacturing in America. He didn't say he planned to tell family members to lose money.

If you all are going to make this a Trump board, at least try to be accurate.

well that is not the real problem.
it is the only way to survive in a globalized world and the way a global market workd.

the real problem is that trump tried to fool his voters with the opposite statement and they do not only believe it they still find excuses when he his is doeing EXACTLY what he complains from others.

trump voters are convinced that a business guy is perfect for being the POTUS but the tasks of a business man and a president canīt differ more.
a business guy can make a deal or not make it. a president HAVE to make a deal - and this deal is not only for him or his voters it is a deal for the society.

a business guy is also trained to get money OUT of the market but a country leader have to push money in and let money circle because only the circulation of money results in prosperity.

trumpīs only buisness talent is not to pay bills and this is the worst what can happen to a country because it survives with giving and taking.
the same procedure keeps a global market alive. the advantages of a global market are based on a bigger money circle.
giving jobs to a country with lower skills and wages means giving prosperity to them. only BECAUSE of prosperity they will be able to become consumers. and they will buy FROM the country what give them jobs other things (things in what this country is better).

trumpīs idea to block chinese imports is the idea of a big fool. because it does not only take prosperity from the americans (because they have to pay more for things and can buy less) it also eliminates one of the biggest buyers from the country.
if china only cancel the contracts with BOEING and give it to AIRBUS one of the biggest american industries will end up in bankrupcy.

and thatīs not all - even when china would still keep this contracts alive (what i doubt) HOW can BOEING prosuce this airplanes without part delivering from china ?
maybe they can sell it to china but they will make a big loss on this deal.

and this is only ONE example from thousands and it is very sad that the president of such a important country does not even understand those rules what are the basics for a economy studend in his first lessons.

his last "great idea" to seperate the investment banks from the private banks is the next prove how obvious he is driving america into his worst crisis.
this idea (what is actually from his biggest enemy bernie sanders) is the preparation for the next big crash because he knows already where this bubble will end up.
if investment banks and private banks are one and the same there will not be any kind of banking left when they explode.

this guy is dangerous for america and the whole world and thatīs why the complete world worries exept his stupid voters who do not have the smallest clue how the world economy works and what are blind and brainwashed enough to defend every fucking mistake he does.

NOTHING of what he ever promised will ever come true because it contradicts thousands of years old laws of the economy.

i am pretty sure the not only Russia but also China and ISIS helped him to win with false and selfspreading conspiracy theories what stupid people easily adapt.
there is no better way to win an economic war as to change the leader of the enemy for a donkey.

How is it an oxymoron to say that he promised to change import/export laws so businesses could compete on price without having to import?

Has he changed those laws yet? No. But he's been pretty busy dealing with people whining loudly about him in laughably I accurate ways.

All of us ???

We choose who supplies us. We pick and choose who we do business with. If we want to make maximum profits we ignore our principles and go with the supplier who makes us the most money.

However if you are in her position, and you dont want to look like a total hypocrite, then you choose a supplier that fits with your rhetoric.

You choose a supplier that shows you are leading from the front, you choose a supplier that fits with the principles that you insist that everyone else should follow.

There are hundreds if not thousands of companies making similar products in the United States. She surely doesn't need to make her clothes in China or Africa to compete; The markup on these items is insane. She can make the same products in the United States and still make a profit.

But she is greedy.

ok so letīs make a small mathematic lesson:

family smith with 3 children is buying the shirts for them at walmart for the price of 5 dollar per piece.

now the same shirts are produces in USA and cost 15 dollars

means that family smith have to spend 30 dollars more as they did before.

this 30 dollars they have to safe somewhere else and will NOT spend it. letīs say they will not buy a car every 5 years they will instead buy a car every 5,5 years.

so what do we have now?

one got a job from a chinese worker.
one in the car industry lost his job because less cars are sold.
and family smith will drive 6 month longer with an old car.
in china another guy lost his job and the company he works for does not need more machines (what they usually baught from US) and the machine factory in US gets a problem too. if he get fired too the one who is making the chinese guys job have to pay more tax because someone have to pay the unemployed and the goverment needs money too. so he will need even higher salary and family smith have to pay 20 instead of 15 dollars and is forced to SAFE MORE.......

is THIS prosperity ???

if this is the way trump thinks there is no laugh loud enough for this dumb.

Why do you go so far out of your way to defend Trump's lies? Is it because you would have to feel like a dumb ass if you admitted he lied to you and you bought it hook line & sinker?

There is a reason I call you red hats dumb dumbs, it's because you're willfully ignorant. That's much worse than actually being low IQ. People like you are the reason politics is what is it today and why the Republican party has become so fucking corrupted. You are the reason they get away with it, because you just make excesses for everything they do because it's your team, instead of holding them accountable for lying to you.

Why wouldn't they be perfect?

I buy all of my bags from Waterfield Designs. They make backpack and computer cases - right here in the US, in San Francisco. I love their stuff and I have six or seven different backpacks, sleeves, and computer cases from them.

I just discovered we have a local company that does similar work, right here in town, on Main Street USA. You can walk into their store / shop, order something, and they will make it right in front of you: American Made Camera Bags, Briefcases & Leather Accessories: Copper River Bags

The problem isn't that Americans cannot make products in the United States and make a profit. Instead, the problem is Americans like cheap prices and convenience. Why go out of your way to visit their store and spend $60 on a computer bag when you can pick up a Swiss Gear computer backpack for $25 at Target.
