MIT invents method to shrink objects to nanoscale using basic lab equipment

They have already had amazing results on a human as evident by president CHUMP :1orglaugh

Some say bigger is better, but researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology will tell you that when it comes to tech, smaller things are far more impressive.

This month, MIT researchers announced they invented a way to shrink objects to nanoscale -- smaller than what you can see with a microscope -- using a laser. That means they can take any simple structure and reduce it to one 1,000th of its original size.
The miniaturizing technology, called "implosion fabrication," could be applied to anything from developing smaller microscope and cell phone lenses to creating tiny robots that improve everyday life.

Great article! This is a big step forward for nano robotics and flying robitic insects. Very cool! :thumbsup

Incredible shrinking 3D printer can make really tiny objects

the age of nano weapons is upon us...

If you turn this device upside down, can it enlarge?

Better hope not, because the day we have millions of tiny drones like in that redo of "The day the earth stood still" then we are all fucked because you arent fighting back against that.

They don't even need any weaponry, they can just be used to take out engines on anything and destroy entire power grids by brute force.. millions of little nanobot would be the end of even nucler weapons..

I don't even blieve that. I guess CNN really is fake news.

what do you mean "better hope not"? :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh the USA is going to weaponize this 2000000%...it is what the USA is about...can not sleep until it finds a new way to fuck over somebody...

conventional warfare is dead in 10-20 years...parkour terminators, drone swarms, nanobots...fighting off invaders will not be possible the regular way...it is also the end of democracy and freedom as we know it...have a political candidate/journalist that is against your crony power structure? no problem, give him a "heart attack"...

IRL: the new nano tech will be used as a personal tracker and "off" switch for each individual human...countries that still have the capability of fighting off the invaders will probably make some sort of kill switch or gravity device that acts as a last stand and opens amps with bacteria or launches the remaining nukes that work...if I was russia I would build an impossible amount of nukes and amps and have a no warning policy: if we find just one invader nano bot we launch everything...

Nano tech was being worked on while i was at university. It is likely already weaponized
