What concerts have you seen?

Spent a few hours the other night going through all my old concert ticket stubs from over the years (I collect'em).

Just curious to know what concerts ya'll have seen over the years.

Back in the day I've seen:

Genesis (Maple Leaf Gardens)
Van Halen (Maple Leaf Gardens)
Boston (Kingswood Music Theatre)
Eagles (C.N.E. grandstand)
Yes (C.N.E. grandstand)
Stevie Nicks (Kingswood Music Theatre)
the Tubes (Lulu's Roadhouse)
Saga (Lulu's Roadhouse/RPMs)
Steve Earle (Diamond Club, Toronto)
Randy Travis (C.N.E. grandstand)

Charlie Daniels (Lulu's Roadhouse)
Colin James (Lulu's Roadhouse)
Restless Heart (Graceland bar)

Pat Benatar (Lulu's Roadhouse)

Sly 09-07-2014 09:27 AM

Oh Christ. Next month alone I am seeing two full weekends of ACL, another set by Skrillex, and another set by Bassnectar.

Had to stop counting a long time ago!

fitzmulti 09-07-2014 09:27 AM

I couldn't even begin to make a list...not a "complete" list, anyway.

Mine's not a complete list - just the bigger, well-known names mostly. I've probably seen another hundred more lesser-known bar bands.

(without ticket stubs...I wouldn't remember half of them anyways, lol)

arock10 09-07-2014 10:31 AM

A lot of fuckin shows

Though none of the bands you listed

MaDalton 09-07-2014 10:42 AM

too many - but 3/4 of them were my job

but hardly any big ones, i don't like the stadium atmosphere

Smashing Pumpkins - United Center Chicago
The Fixx - Navy Pier Chicago
Blessid Union Of Souls - Joe's Bar Chicago

too many to list or remember unless I hunted for the stubs or bracelets.

MiamiBoyz 09-07-2014 10:55 AM

The list would be impossible...sure the last few but not a comprehensive totally accurate one. Shit...there are concerts I am certain that I was at that I was never actually at and vice versa!

Lights twice! I would go 10 more times if she comes nearby. I was first row in both shows. I waited 3h and 6h for both.

(*) Sorry for the date of the video, it's the only one on Youtube I could find that is live and sounds good.

aka123 09-07-2014 11:40 AM

god knows how many concerts I've been to, well over 200 (maybe even 300) plus loads of pub gigs. the most high profile one I saw was Nirvana's last UK concert (Was a fan of them but the show was shit, loads of people left early), the best I saw was probably either one of the Dog's D'Amour shows I saw, Kirsty Macoll or Nick Cave.

I just mean {w/o elaborating}, I used to work in the music business, and between just 1980 - 1983, I probably was at about 750 shows...and however many since...maybe nearly 1,000.
So, I would have REALLY needed to kept track of that. :P

Bryan G 09-07-2014 02:40 PM

Man I would not where to begin. Been a concert junkie since I was 13.

loreen 09-07-2014 02:43 PM
