Why are there so many wannabe news reporters and news re posts in GFY?
 

Are people really coming to GFY to get their news?

So many people here are re posting new stories from other sites, what kind of forum is GFY turning into?

I thought this section was for 'Fucking Around' and 'Program Discussions' ?

I'm assuming because the adult industry is dead, now all these people have nothing better to do than exercise their opinions over world events that OTHER reporters have already reported.

In some way it makes them feel as if they are a part of something and contributing?

Well, sorry to say this, but nobody really cares about anybody's opinions here. It's just some odd form of group mental masturbation by posting a professional reporters news story and patting yourself on the back for it by discovering and posting the story, then commenting on it 'first.'

It's not like we all can't see the same posts on MSN, or CNN or any of the other millions of news reporting sites.

This section has turned into the "MSN Repost Your Favorites News Story" forum.

i have been doing it many years. i won't be be doing it anymore.

I don't mind if it is really newsworthy. But more often than not it isn't. The average run of the mill murder involving a father and a daughter who killed their neighbor really isn't news, nor is an American / Canadian couple found dead in a foreign country news. If you are just posting news to post news then all you are doing is annoying people.

If it's something like a large terrorist attack, then fine, post it.

I tried to be more helpful in the past, but I always got yelled at for "giving away the secrets" even though if you knew a little bit about how the internet works, they weren't really secrets.....

i wouldnt mind if it was a bit less. i do like important stories being put here and discussed, but it usually turns into a shit show in about 3 posts
