Mobile Friendly Site Losing SE Traffic

In last couple of month we have changed out high traffic TGP sites to mobile friendly because of Google Panda update. After making site mobile friendly instead of going up or steady traffic is gone. All those site who are not mobile friendly stick to their ranking but mobile friendly sites are losing constant traffic.

Daily Indian Sex - Indian Girls Hardcore Sex
Smut India - Indian Sex - Indian Babes - Indian Girls - Indian MMS!
Indians Get Fucked, Indian Sex Movies, Indian Sex Videos

Before mobile friendly they are getting around 70k SE traffic from Google respectively but now just 15K and going down.... any suggestion what we have done wrong.... Please advice if you got any idea after checking the site....

Any others who lost traffic after mobile friendly update....

pornguy 06-22-2015 09:15 AM

First thing. DONT MAKE EVERY SINGLE CHANGE GOOGLE SAYS TO MAKE!

One of the things they are on the look out for is people trying to manipulate the rankings. Mostly by deceptive things but it often catches the non deceptive ones as well.

I have just visited the first link via my android phone.
I get one popunder with javascript alert "YOU HAVE VIRUS" and the site pushes me to "download & install" some shady stuff while my phone is constantly vibrating.

Maybe google just realised that this is really not desired user experience. :2 cents:

CPA-Rush 06-22-2015 09:41 AM

get in line . i have this text under my logo "i'm no longer receiving much traffic from g00gle if u want to support the site just tell ur friends about it .:pimp

michal 06-22-2015 09:43 AM

google like sites which link directly to content without any skim / redirections.

i think thats the main reason of your problems

JA$ON 06-22-2015 09:45 AM

Separate note on the Indian site

Man, that ping sounds on the IM might be the single most annoying thing Ive seen on a site in while. Not sure its bad enough to have people bail if they like the content, but we found NO difference on the clicks to IM banners when we turned all sound off. In fact (and every site is different) when we didn't have it pop on EVERY page, it did much better. Im guessing it just felt more real. But , who knows, every site is different. Everything is worth A/B testing though :)

It's a plugrush popunder.

@Michal: its a TGP and running on Smart Thumb.

Its all start after making site mobile friendly...do we put back the old non mobile friendly design back.....

i understand what you have.

google likes clean sites which give their surfers content they click on

your model of site is old.. time of cj, blind links, redirects, misleading is over

if you want to be on top positions your sites have to be clean, you should make your surfers happy.

i hardly doubt switching back to your old design will get your se positions back

Colmike9 06-22-2015 11:35 AM

If your old site was doing well, why not put it back to how it was then use a m.site.tld for mobile or just edit the hell out of your CSS with some php/js on the old one to make text bigger/images fit/easier to tap buttons etc.?

Edit: I didn't look at the site, just saying some stuff. :upsidedow

My friend site is clean, no blind link or misleading link. Switching back to old design wont solve the issue. I think every single TGP need its own design with atleast 10 - 20 gallery of content hosted on the domain so google wont complain for no hosted content. Apart from this what else..

Can same design or similar structure of tgp's be a issue?

Freedom6995 06-23-2015 03:29 AM

I've converted a couple of squeaky clean sites (mainstream and porn) and had a similar experience with losing G love, but after 2-4 weeks traffic was back to normal. :2 cents:

Would the same template, like for example Twenty Eleven for Wordpress blogs be an issue?

No, it isn't. It only matters if your site sucks (or not). If others have similar sucky sites, it just means more sucky sites. Google cares about the content, etc., not that is your site's structure the same as others have. If your content is the same as others have, that is an issue.

This exactly.

Don't listen to what they tell you, just make the site the best way you can for maximum profit and user attractiveness (if that's a phrase :thumbsup).

I didn't get it..., what kind of sites are these, a TGP's with redirects?

I haven't checked his site on mobile but if this is the case then I'm sorry, but he deserves all he gets. I honestly don't know why the fuck people create a site trying to sell things - then go and put shit like that on which will surely make 99% of surfers close the page and never EVER go back :2 cents:

I didn't check on Android but on iPhone and iPad no issued in there. If on Andorid showing virus then it should coming from plugrush. I have check manual action on google no issue.

TrafficTitan 06-23-2015 03:50 PM

Your mobile version is god awful on smutindia.com

> very annoying IM ad
> popover automatically takes you to a candy crush app install
> 3 screen lengths of ads before you get to links
> Way too much content on the page, probably will load slow

I would fix those issues and you'll probably get your traffic back. The popup and the IM ad is probably the main issue.

TrafficTitan 06-23-2015 03:51 PM

This was on iphone

tiramisu 06-23-2015 03:55 PM

Its been a couple of months since u made the changes, there were at least 3 google updates during these periods, so its not easy to determine exactly what had happened to causing traffic drop. I would do these and observe see what is working and expand.

1. Reverse one site back to the original format, exactly like it used to be.
2. Remove all the ads, plugrush whatever on the second site and see if traffic would bounce back.
3. Setup the last site as a real site, host real pics and videos, do it surfer friendly, see if u could grow.

Its useless to let those sites died, u had given enough time to test ur mobile strategy and not working, so u should pursuit other strategies.

Usually when I made a change, and saw immediately google traffic fluctuation, I would immediately reverse it, for example, I used to host my pics on the server, when switch to cdn and change the image file path, next day google traffic tanked, so I just reversed back and everything normalize then.

Google is sensitive so do u too.

247mg 07-17-2015 09:48 AM

We'r back on track with a different design structure specially for mobile traffic which is good in numbers..... So hope for more in coming few days time!

There is usually fluctuation after changes, but it doesn't mean that you should revert immediately.

Fucking shit site. I visited smutindia and didn't even click a link but got redirected to that virus popup.
It's impossible to go back or close it down. It makes your phone vibrate.

Sites this should be banned from Google.

Just take off Plugrush and don't take offense, you asked.. :2 cents:

Also how much bandwidth does one page load use? It's a big deal, too (use thumbs/resized/optimized images and other things. Your site is scaling images on the desktop version, I just don't feel like taking out my phone..)

It's not a virus, it's a fake virus fake scanning for fake malware. With a stupid popup box that cannot be closed.
If you can't see why this would affect your site ranking then fuck you.

Someone comes to your site > leaves immediately due to redirect. Doesn't return.

:thumbsup
Make your own popunders and rotate with simple html/php. Much more effective in the long run, too, or don't pop at all if it's not making you any money (I'm guessing it doesn't since it's Plugrush and you don't have traffic..)

Colmike9 07-18-2015 10:08 AM

Before you get all mad, I was joking about no traffic, but there are still much better solutions than Plugrush without all of the problems that you get from them...

Colmike9 07-19-2015 12:29 PM

Maybe try taking off popunders and see if that helps. Sometimes people put bad popunders on traffic brokers and ruin it for everyone..

Or pop under your own related sites. Playboy.tv works really well for popunders, just sayin'.

Yep there was recent update which deals with travesty like that.

CrazyMartin 04-20-2017 04:07 AM

just think

why google should promote site with tons of popup traps??

no mater if it mobile friendly or with https, this site is USER unfriendly

google is doing good work cutting off such sites

browsers should block not only popups but click popups too

Like others have said...there are WAY to many popups on there not to mention a bunch of malwarebytes blocked ones.

There was already Google updates going after sites with to many popups, redirects, and ads.

HTTPS is not a huge ranking factor.

How come you getting bunch of popups? We have removed and only exo is left whoch is one only.

Bladewire 05-02-2017 10:44 AM

Quality over quantity.

Give the surfers what they want.

Hint: nobody wants to be hijacked or popped up/under. The market has spoken and if you're with a traffic broker going against the market you're going to go down.

Don't let all your hard work goto waste.
